Proven Wrong - Jeph Jacques |

I wish there was some sort of filter so I could keep away all the facebook statuses talking about being in love. I'm getting kind of tired of seeing all the people I know be in love.

I'm basically coming off back to back failed relationships. I think maybe I'm more damaged than I'm letting myself feel.

| a short story I wrote a few years ago |
[Monday
September 1st, 2008 ] |
George got out of his bed early in the morning, so he could see the beautiful Caribbean sunrise. It was one of three most pleasing things he had ever seen, and he cried for 2 hours. He lied down in bed for a while and tried to write, but he found it too hard to focus, so he closed his laptop and decided to go for a swim. He left his room and headed for the elevator. Once outside, George had realized he had forgotten to change into his bathing suit, but decided he didn’t feel like going back to his room again, so he would just go over to the bar. The Bartender was a big guy, about six foot, thin mustache, portly. George asked for a rum and coke, the bartender laughed, “That’s what everyone gets around here.” George took his drink and headed over to the pool. There were always pretty girls by the pool. He found an empty table with an umbrella and sat down. He relaxed for a while, enjoying the warm weather, and the nice view. He finished his drink up, and was about to head over to the bar for another, but he noticed a real beauty, dark hair, tanned skin, green eyes. George headed over to her, “Hi, my names George, I’m a writer.” He gave her a smile, and she looked him up and down “Esme, I’m an escort.” They stood there for a minute, She took him by the hand and whispered in his ear “I’ll give you half price.” George thought that was a pretty good deal, so they agreed to meet up in his room in 2 hours, George had things to do, he had to get ready. Before she left, Esme warned him that she didn’t do any kinky stuff. George smiled and laughed, and assured her that he wasn’t into the kinky stuff either.
George woke up early again, except there was no time for admiring the sun today, instead he had to get rid of the body. He had already cut her up in the bath tub, and had put her into two duffel bags, the safest way was if he sent one bag to some third world country using a fake name, the other one, he would keep for the time being, he had put the good parts in there, in case he got hungry. George had everything set up and the bag was sent to who knows where by noon. At noon, he finally got some writing done, and decided to have a snack, he had saved a leg and was really longing for it. After lunch, George headed down to the pool again, this time he remembered to change into his trunks, and he had a very refreshing swim. While he was at the bar, drinking another rum and coke, he saw a few potentials, but no one that really struck his fancy. He asked the bartender if he knew someplace to get a good bite to eat, because the bartender was also a member of George’s club, as he had found out a couple of days ago, during a drunken discussion. The bartender suggested a night club, and George thought it sounded alright.
Several weeks later, George was back home, relaxing in his favorite chair, eating the meatloaf his wife had made him, and he thought back to that beautiful sunset he woke up to see, and he started crying again.

Open Spaces - Johnny Greenwood - There Will Be Blood OST |
] |
I strike your face and I see blood I strike a match and I see blood I strike your life and I see blood The knife strikes you and you see blood
Horror wakes me Horror shapes me Horror makes me And horror rapes me
A bevy of life is waiting to die Three thousand men are waiting to fry While three thousand wives are starting to cry
Everyone is loved by someone Someone is loved by everyone
The taste is sweet and new Your face is all askew Chains bind you and tie you While seemingly the number that care, are very few
The beautiful and the ugly dance together Blurring a line that lasts forever
Shoot it now or hold it in Once you start, you can’t stop sin.
A blood red sky signals the night Nothing you will do can make it right.

Today for the first time in a really long time I read a whole book in one day. Ham on Rye by Charles Bukowski.
I've had so much input all day that I decided I needed some output, so I wrote a poem:
Ice covers the harvest and we wait for the thaw The ocean rolls against the sand, if you stare at it long enough you can see the start We all came from wetness When we die we are dry
The earth swallows you back up and nothing matters Everything is beautiful while it lasts Mundane is beauty Life is gorgeous
War is caused by hate run by hate and filled with hate Those who hate, hate so they can love From death comes life From life stems death
We are never ending We are everything and nothing We will always be remembered We will always be forgotten
Our lives have crossed paths permanently We will not forget eachother.

I am so glad it's finally getting cold, if it was up to me, the weather would be like this year-round. I love wearing jeans and a hoodie. I guess it's because I'm born in the fall, but there's just something I really love about it, well, not just something, lots of things! The smell, the crispness, no more humidity, makes me energized, relaxing in bed under nice warm blankets, movies that make you think (though I love a good summer action movie as much as the next bloke.) A month and 5 days till my birthday! Here's hoping for some good presents.

Weeds John From Cincinnati Flight of the Conchords Deadwood The Office
John from Cinci and FotC are over, Weeds is only like 3 or 4 episodes in to this season so far. Deadwood I just started the first season and is awesome, each episode is a day in the town of Deadwood, Ian Mcshane is brilliant as like as basically an original gangster, he owns the saloon and has people killed and is all sorts of badass. I'm really loving the american version of the office though, I downloade, I mean, bought the first 2 seasons, and it's just hysterical and sweet. Dwight is one of the best characters ever in television. I really need to do things other than watching stuff.

How come it's really easy for me to hit on girls over the internet? Honestly, it's so easy, but then in person, a lot of the times I'm all shy and awkward. Granted, some of the girls I shouldn't be hitting on, but I really can't help myself, I like flirtin' with girls, even though nothing comes out of it. :(
On a lighter note, my car isn't working and I'm very lonely.
